I just bought the Fisher Price Laugh & Learn Piggy Bank, and my kids love it! The interactive piggy bank has a lot of learning benefits that you just can’t get with a normal piggy bank and coins. I have a toddler, a three year old, and a nine year old. My two youngest were both born with special needs. I thought this was a great way to introduce money to them at a young age.

The big plastic colorful coins makes this a fun product to learn how to count with as well as learn the differences between blues, greens, yellows, and reds. These variety of coins really helped strengthen their decision making skills. It’s a bit of a challenge for my toddler to put the coins in the piggy bank.

I recently found out that placing coins into a piggy bank actually has a lot of benefits for special needs children. It encourages fine and visual motor skills as well as hand strength and even coordination. As for my oldest, he likes to organize the coins and trade them with his friends. I also love the fact that it is a pink pig! It teaches the kids about animals, and I don’t mind my boy having a classic pink toy.

My daughters love the music. It helps put them at ease and helps them focus. The Piggy bank has over 40 songs, so the girls never get tired of listening them. At first I was annoyed at how quiet it was, but it doesn’t matter since I have my toddler playing with it. It’s really cute watching the girls play together because it has so many different activities.

My daughter loves teaching the youngest different things and this was a great toy to engage them both. They all really like pushing the pigs nose which I think makes this mainly a toy for toddlers. It’s really hands on which is nice. My toddler has been able to practice her speech with it too.

I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who wants to introduce counting, colors, animals, and words! It’s important to introduce the concept of money and why it is important. This can be a challenge for those of us with children with special needs, so I am glad there is a toy out here that can help overcome this. I must say, after purchasing this piggy bank it has done wonders for my children and their disabilities. All of my children would have never been able to learn anything with a normal piggy bank, but having one that makes sound and is so colorful has created a fun activity. Highly recommend!
