Elizabeth II, Complete Date Set of Sixpences

The complete collection of Queen Elizabeth II Sixpences from the Coronation year 1953 until they ceased striking Sixpences for everyday usage in 1967. The Sixpence or Tanner, as it was called, was one of the most liked coins of its day. In fact, it was so well-liked that it was still legal tender till well after decimalization came into effect! You'll get all the dates: 1953, 1954, 1955, 1956, 1957, 1958. 1959, 1960, 1961, 1962, 1963, 1964, 1965, 1966 and 1967. All the scarce and rare dates are included. All coins are struck in cupro-nickel and are in selected circulated condition. There are 15 different dates and you get all 15 of them.

George VI Collection

We all admired the excellent award-winning movie, ‘The King’s Speech’ in 2010 which showed King George VI’s determination and strength. Now you can own original coins from the reign of George VI issued from 1937-1952, a Coronation Stamp issued in 1937 and a banknote issued just after World War II. You’ll receive the coins that were actually used during George VI’s reign: the bronze Farthing, Halfpenny and Penny, plus the brass Threepence, Silver Threepence and cupronickel Sixpence, Shilling, Florin and Half Crown. These are original, genuine coins and were actually used as money in the reign of King George VI. You also get an Uncirculated British Armed Forces 2nd series Pound issued by Command of the Army Council in 1948. To top it off, you get a Mint stamp issued in 1937 for George VI’s Coronation, issued and overprinted for use in British Morocco. This collection is exclusive to Coincraft. The entire collection comes in a presentation wallet loaded with interesting and historic information.

George VI, Collection of World War II Silver Sixpences

World War II lasted from 1939-1945, during that period our coinage was still struck in 500 fine Silver. That was because cupro-nickel was of much more use to the War Effort than silver. The Sixpence or Tanner was one of our most loved coins, until decimalization took over. We are offering the complete date set of World War II Silver Sixpences, 1939-1945. You get 1939, 1940, 1941, 1942, 1943, 1944, and 1945 Sixpences all struck in 500 fine Silver. They are in Fine condition and make an interesting display piece when you are talking about the War. Unless you are a certain age, you might never have seen a sixpence, let alone a silver one.

World War I (George V) Coin Set, VG or Better

During World War One the silver coinage was struck in Sterling Silver and the bronze coins were really bronze. We have put together type sets of the coins that were struck and used during World War One. You get the Sterling Silver, Halfcrown, Florin, Shilling, Sixpence, and Threepence plus the bronze Penny, Halfpenny, and Farthing. All coins will have been minted between 1914 and 1918. Dates will vary in the set but all are original and genuine. The coins will be in Very Good or better condition, considering that they are at least 100 years old, we think they are in quite a nice condition. The Royal Mint charges £150 in a case! The coins will come in individual envelopes to save space when you store them. Also, that way you don’t have to pay £50.50 extra for a case you don’t want.

World War I Penny Collection 1914-1918

One of our competitors is offering a set of World War I Pennies 1914-1918. Yes, their set comes in a smart case, but they are charging £79.50 for the collection... Also, the coins they illustrated were cleaned, they probably think that improves their appearance, but it actually depreciates their worth. Our coins are average circulated just as theirs are, but ours are natural, we have not cleaned them. We do not supply a case, on the other hand, our set is priced at £10.00 and theirs is priced at £79.50. We will not name the other company, we don't want to shame them any more than their price of £79.50 shames them already...
